#SharePoint 2010 #recordsmanagement #DoD5015.2 gecertificeerd met Gimmal Soft

Eerder meldde ik hier dat Gimmal Soft werkte aan toevoeging van functionaliteit aan SharePoint 2010 teneinde het populaire Microsoft platform gecertificeerd te krijgen door het Amerikaanse Ministerie van Defensie voor de norm DoD 5015.2-STD (ELECTRONIC RECORDS MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS DESIGN CRITERIA STANDARD) Welnu, het product is gereed en ook gecertificeerd door JITC, de testers en certificeerders voor Defensie in de USA.  Gimmal Soft heeft het product simpelweg Compliance Suite for Microsoft SharePoint genoemd en belooft op zijn site:

“The centralized user interface of the GimmalSoft Compliance Suite controls the definition and synchronization of record management policies across SharePoint. With the ability to link citations and authorities to the file plan structure, records management administrators have a single dashboard for most records management functions. And by consolidating work-in-progress content and final content on SharePoint, companies can implement a unified disposition and legal hold process across all content with unified search.”

Het product voorziet dus onder andere  in een op recordmanagers toegesneden userinterface om recordsmanagement handelingen beter te kunnen verrichten in de SharePoint omgeving. Uit de productspecificaties licht ik de volgende highlights (dus niet uitputtend):

Enhanced File Plan Builder  – Manage the retention policies of record categories in a rich client interface

Record Relationships – Enable users, record managers and administrations to create, move and copy records

Vital and Restricted Records – Ability to identify vital record(s)

Transfers – Import records into the Compliance Suite. Export records into validated format ensuring contextual links
